Dissolution of Marriage

“Dissolution of Marriage”

Divorce is the final termination of marital union, cancelling the legal duties and responsibilities of marriage and dissolving the bonds between the parties. Does it help the people who are under this situation? For me, it is just another suffering for them. Why divorce although they can solve their problems and the situation as well, and be with each other again?

Divorce laws vary considerably around the world but in most countries it requires the sanction of a court or other authority in a legal process. The legal process for divorce may also involve issues of spousal support, child custody, child support, distribution of property and division of debt. Where monogamy is law, divorce allows each former partner to marry another; where polygamy is legal, divorce allows the woman to marry another.

As of 2011, the Philippines and the Vatican City do not allow divorce. From 1971 to 1996, four European countries legalized divorce: Spain, Italy, Portugal and the Republic of Ireland. In some Western jurisdictions, divorce does not require a party to assert fault on the part of their partner leading to the breakdown of their marriage. In some countries, when the spouses agree to divorce and to the terms of the divorce, it can be certified by a non-judiciary administrative entity. The effect of a divorce is that both parties are free to marry again.
Divorce is always a traumatic experience in a person's life, especially a child's. When parents divorce, children are not always considered during the settlement. This omission can lead to problems with the child's perception of daily life. The impact divorce has on a family is more prominent to the children of the family than the parents. As a child, there are many situations that affect a view, memory, opinion, or attitude. Children have many of their own daily struggles to cope with, such as peer pressure. Adults sometimes forget what it is like to be a child dealing with some of the childhood pressures. Many parents do not realize how something like divorce could possibly affect their children as much as it does them. The severing of the relationship between mother and father rends the hearts of children, making their own capacity to have deep and trusting relationships more tenuous.  For a child, it is very hard losing a parent. The child's life becomes more stressful because of economic loss and the loss of a supportive parent. Since many children do not adjust well, their behavior is affected. The change is devastating for many children and affects the rest of their life. Divorce of parents causes many problems and affects children negatively. The loss of a parent can cause loss in knowledge, skills, and resources from the parents. They lose such things as support from the parent in finances, emotions, and care. Children tend to have a harder time dealing with a divorce the more divorces their parents go through. The better the parents adjust to these losses, the better the children will adjust, and the fewer problems that will come about. The number one cause for divorce is financial difficulty, before a couple enters a marriage they have their own bills and spending habits, they do not need to consult anyone about their money. They want to be able to spend as they please, like when they were single.
Divorce should not be allowed, because it turns your loved one in to opponent and children have to suffer and it is also a time-consuming process. It takes the person who at one time in your life was your lover, perhaps your best friend, and turns that same person into your opponent. Because of the divorce children suffer more than anyone else. They cannot decide with whom to go with. And so they will not get the love of both parents. By keeping the marriage the children will not have to suffer from separation and they will get the love of both parents. Divorce is like breaking one heart into two pieces. There's just no getting around it, divorce is a cruddy process. Because to get divorce we have to do a lot of work to find proof. We also have to find a lawyer which is ready to fight our case. We have to do a lot of research of our opponent so that we can turn him/her down in court and for this it takes time and a lot of money.

Divorce takes our loved one and turns in to our opponent. It's the same person with whom we shared our sorrows and happiness. But now we are trying to put the same person down in front of the society. First we were not able to live without this person at any cost and now we do not want to live with that person at any cost. Some time we make such a silly mistake for that we have to pay for it our rest of the life. We find ways to turn down our opponent, but we do not think what will be his or her mental condition in the court. And sometimes that result in serious outcome. There is lot more other cause so people should try to keep their marriage so that they do not have to suffer through all this.
As I wrote in the whole essay that divorce is an awful process and there is nothing precious as marriage and it is also worth keeping. People still do not understand the importance of keeping marriage and making a good relationship with our partner. Marriage combines two separate hearts into one. And this is done by God, but divorce is not done by God it is done by human being. And because of divorce children have to suffer and we have to put our precious time to turn down our loved one in front of society so marriages have more value than anything else. And it also affects children negatively and turns our loved one into our opponent. It also takes lot of time and money to get a divorce. So please do not break the marriages, it's a blessing of God and belief of millions of people.

"Forgetting the Past, Accepting the Present"

By: Mary Ann Mallorca
(Adopted from: A Purpose Driven Life)

Everyone’s life is driven by something. Whether you are studying, driving a car or playing something, you are guiding, controlling and directing it at that moment.
Right now, you may be driven by a problem, a pressure a pain, or heartache. You may be driven by a painful memory, a haunting fear, or an unconscious belief. There are hundreds of circumstances and emotions that can drive your life. Just like many people are driven by guilt. They spend their entire lives running from regrets and hiding their shame. Guilt-driven people are manipulated by memories. They allow their past to control their future. They often unconsciously punish themselves by sabotaging their own success. We are products of our past, but we don’t have to be a prisoner of it. Some people are driven by anger. They hold on to hurts and never get over them. Instead of releasing their pain through forgiveness, they rehearse it over and over in their minds. Those who have hurt you in the past cannot continue to hurt you, unless you hold on to the pain. Your past is past, and nothing will change it. You are only hurting yourself with your bitterness. For your own sake, learn from it and then let it go.  Some people are driven with fear.  Their fears may be a result of a traumatic experience, disappointments, rejections, discriminations, and unrealistic expectations. Regardless of the cause, fear-driven people often miss opportunities because they’re afraid to venture out. Fear is a self-imposed prison that will keep you from becoming what God intends you to be. You must move against it with the weapons of faith and love. Lastly, we are driven by the need of approval. They allow the expectations of parents, teachers and friends to control their lives. Others are driven by peer pressure. Always worried by others might think. Unfortunately, those who follow the crowd usually get lost in it. I don’t know all the keys to success but one key to failure is to try to please everyone. Being controlled by the opinions of others is a guaranteed way to miss God’s purposes for our life. Just live with F.A.C.T..
F-orget the past
A-ccept the present
C-hange the future
T-hen smile. J
Live with F.A.C.T.  It’s just a simple advice but it helps a lot.

Me, As a Part of This World

"Me, As a Part of This World"
By: Mary Ann Mallorca

Hello everyone! I want you to get to know me. Like you, I have lots of fears and fantasies in my life. I want to share them with you because knowing more about each other will make us real close and our friendship will surely grow. So I’ll start introducing myself with this.

I’m Mary Ann Rodriguez Mallorca or simply Ann. I am now 14 years of age. I was born on the 17th day of March year 1997. I am the youngest among the four children of Yolly Mallorca (my Mother) and Leonardo Mallorca (my Father). And I am residing at New San Jose Dinalupihan, Bataan.

Now, let me tell you something about my educational background. I have finished my elementary at New San Jose Elementary School in our Barangay. Luckily, I graduated in elementary with 5 awards for being the 8th Honorable Mention, Mayor’s Award,  2nd Place District Science Fair Slogan Making Contest, 2nd Place Eastwood’s Slogan Making Contest and finally, 2nd Place District Level Speech Choir Competition. I really love collecting medals since I was in elementary. Now, I am a high school student. I’m studying at Saint John Academy, a school with a high quality of education and it has a complete facilities. When I was in first year high school, I belong to I-Ephesians. For me, it is the happiest section ever! But for others, it is the worst. At the end of the school year, I was named as the top two in our class, and I’m proud of it. When I turn to 2nd year high school, I belong to the pilot section, the II-St. Peter. I’ve met new friends and just like my old friends, they are fun to be with too. But as time goes by, I lose some of them because of my own mistakes. I have to be humble to say “sorry” to them, so that everything will be fine. Because of that experience, my greatest prayer is to be at the regular section when I turn to 3rd yr, thinking that my classmates and friends at the pilot section will not able to trust me again. But then again, I’m wrong. I’m still at the pilot section and still with them. III-St. Mary Magdalene is my section. I feel more comfortable with them now than before. I still have a lots of friends. And the only way to keep them is to be a trustworthy person.

Just like the other teenagers, I also experienced falling in love. I don’t care about his look, his things, and everything he has. I care only for his attitudes and personality as a kind-hearted person. The only clue is, he is my first year classmate. So that I will feel comfortable being with him. Sometimes, words are not enough to make someone feel that you really love them. Sometimes, it needs a little effort to convince them that you really care. His every move means a lot to me, even a glance. I wonder how boys feel when they’re in love. Do they have you in their mind 24/7? Do they wait for you to come online for hours? Do they smile at the random times at the thoughts of you? Do they miss you all the time? Do they think about the smallest things you say? I’m very curious about them.

We are now going to talk about my hobbies. Here’s the truth in me: I’m a text addict. I really love texting all day and all night even during classes. I love reading text quotes because it makes me feel relaxed. I also love collecting memorable photos, especially when it is a friendship photo. Because the best thing about it, is that it never changes even when the person in it does.

Just like what always happen, all people can change, like me. There comes a day when everything changes but it’s not always for the best, because nothing in this world is permanent. You just have to enjoy it while you still have it. Don’t be afraid of change. You may lose out on something good, but you might gain something better. My friends said that I’ve changed so much. Well, that is true. I already grew up. Maybe I will never be who I was before. Maybe who I am today, ain’t so far from yesterday. It is okay to blame me, hate me, fight me, and envy me, because whatever you do, this is still me, imperfect but real.

Thanks for reading a mini part of my life! I hope what you have read and what I have shared, brings you moral, makes you inspire and help you to be a real person like me. : )
